My car needed a tune up and some other work. My son suggested I take it to Motorpool. I now am a fan. I did not realize how much power I had lost in this car, tuned up this car runs well. Before, it could not even get out of it's own way. Chris was easy to work with, no regrets.

Love this place and this guy--I think his name was Chris--looks like a short Ron Jeremy, which is excellent. I went in to have my alignment done and while he was fixing things, he suggested I get breaks and tires done as they were almost in the danger zone. The thing I really liked was how he explained why it would be a good idea and suggested it. He did not push it on me or act like I was going to die if I didn't do it right now. I had him do all the maintenance and it's seriously like a new car!!! Now I no longer roll into my girlfriends car in the driveway when I come home from work. She is happy. Thanks, Chris (Ron), for making my girlfriend happy!

Ok, hands down, BEST place to get your car fixed for any reason. I did a YELP search and I wanted a mom/pop shop verses crappy Midas for an oil change/brake replacement...anyway, Motorpool Automotive came up as a top search and for good reason. This place is amazing! I have to write about how wonderful Chris was. I called to get a quote and he gave me ballpark numbers for my brakes and the price for a full synthetic oil change ($69.95 that includes top off for all fluids and a free brake inspection, tire rotation and 33 point-check!!!) and he asked if I was available same day for drop off and he totally worked with my schedule. So I get to my appointment (which I was 30 minutes late for, eeeeek!) and he was on the phone with a customer yet greeted me with a smile and a wave of as soon as I walked in and didn't rush his phone customer either, massive kudos for that. He asked for the issues with my car and I mentioned the brakes making noise, my check engine light and maintenance required lights were on, I needed an oil change, etc. He drafted up an estimate and said that it would take about an hour or two and that once they do the inspection, he would call me for exact repair costs and go from there. I gave the go-ahead for the oil change though bc that was the initial reason I went. He offered I hangout in their rec-area while I wait which was fully stocked with delicious goodies like bars, candy, Mac-n-cheese, etc. but I ended up getting a ride home...next time I'll take advantage of that lol :) So about 1.5 hours later, Chris calls and tells me my front brakes were in dire need to be replaced (which I anticipated) and my rear brakes needed to be readjusted and he gave me a quote on that which was much higher than I anticipated :/ I told him I'd call him back because I have a friend who owns another body shop that could've done it for a little less. As it turned out, my friend was going to do it at a much lower cost but I'd have to wait a week...when I told Chris this, he asked if I was interested in price matching. Hell YES!! He didn't get it as low as what my friend would've charged, but it was enough for me to say yes to that! I was so happy! He said my car would be ready soon and it definitely was! When I arrived, again, he greeted me with a nice smile and gave me my key...he went down the list of things he did: full synthetic oil change with filter change and fluids topped off, 33-point inspection, all filters replaced, front brakes replaced, rear brakes readjusted, tires rotated, adjusted tire pressure...and he made sure none of my maintenance light/check engine lights were on; especially since I'm due for a smog check soon! I even get free re-checks on my brakes if needed as well. They also put a sticker on my car that shows at how many miles I need an oil change, or date...as well as what oil was used. I paid for all of these services what just a brake replacement costs! I am sooooo happy I found Motorpool Automotive and I am sooooo happy with Chris and his wonderful customer service! I will come back again for all my car needs and I highly recommend this shop to anyone and everyone!

Reliable, honest, they let me know what my car's problem might be and told me how much it may cost. I had a break issue I was stressed about, but they said it's super minor and they only charged me few bucks for the time they've spent.

Why only 5 stars??!! I wish I could give 20! I started coming to Motorpool Automotive in October of 2015 when my check engine light came on and my car was having trouble even getting down the road. The first guys I took it to, that I had first trusted with the care of my car, told me the engine would have to be replaced. Clearly wanting a second opinion, I remembered my friend talking about how much she enjoyed the service at Motorpool. Not only were they honest about what was happening with my car, they explained EVERYTHING and brought me into the work bay to let me see what was happening in and underneath my engine. Since then, the only guys who I trust my car with.... are the dudes at Motorpool Automotive. They are true professionals. And I recommend everyone go to them. They know their cars and they treat their customers with respect. As a woman I have NEVER felt I was being manipulated into getting a service done on my car that it didn't truly need. The guys are honest and respectful and have wicked senses of humor. I am so sad I am moving because I'll miss the guys at Motorpool who take such good care of my car!! **Plus it is super fun to have the sticker on your car and be driving around the Bay Area and spot other cars that have it, too. :D

Trustworthy place. Had a rat chew up some wiring. The fixed it for a good price. They had the car back in 1 day. I've only used them once but will go back again.

These guys do great work, they are fast, friendly, and priced right. I take my 4runner there for all my maintenance needs. Thanks! A+++

Update: Motorpool quickly replied to my Yelp review and addressed my concerns promptly, I will be returning in the future because even though my first experience here was not worth five stars, the service I have received since then as been very quick, caring, understanding, clear and easy. Thank you Chris for being so kind and I will be seeing you Motorpool again soon...

So on Monday morning, I get in my car planning on heading to Motorpool for an oil change. For some reason, I am unable to get my car to shift. After a five hour ordeal with my insurance and the tow company, my car finally arrives at Motorpool. I call and speak with Chris. They have diagnosed the issue but it's a weird part they are having trouble sourcing. I call back the next day and all his sources are telling him I need to replace the entire shift assembly, costing $1100 in parts alone. He asked for another day. Calls me the next day and has found a $300 part instantly saving me $800. Part is delivered the following day and my car is fixed. Had I gone anywhere else, this would have easily cost me $2000 plus but the team at Motorpool cares about their customers and always does what is right. Thanks Chris and the rest of the team for giving that intangible piece of mind that you can not buy.
