5 stars isn't enough as far as I am concerned. Mechanics are usually a necessary evil that I used to despise until I took my car to Motorpool, not only was the staff warm and inviting, but they were (brace yourself) HONEST. The waiting room has a television that not only works but is equipped with cable and a video game console with a comfortable couch to watch it from and a HUGE selection of complimentary snacks and drinks too so hanging out while they work is not only painless but fun. But besides being honest, friendly and having a great place to wait, they are also fast, reliable, thorough, and dependable and they have literally gone out of their way to make each of my experiences with them awesome.

Steve and the guys at motorpool are the best!!! I've been coming in since they have been open; three years. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy they have books for kids and snacks!! They are always straight forward with their assessments and don't push anything that's unnecessary. As a female I've never felt talked down to or taken advantage of. They are as transparent as can be and never do any work that you didn't ask for. I've dropped off my car with a blank check that's how much I trust these dudes. If you are single, female, and drive a car in the South bay these dudes are what you've been looking for.

Went in for an oil change and overall check up on my car. I was referred by an old customer of mine and the stickers I see all over town reminded me to check them out. Really nice guys that work there, I felt like they were very honest. The waiting room is the nicest automotive shop waiting room I've ever been in that's for sure! They had a comfortable couch, snacks, cable, Xbox and I think wifi.... YOU name it they had it. Very nice experience, will definitely be back. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the huge sticker I have in my car (totally my choice) so I can get the "discount" oil change, although It's the standard price elsewhere. Overall I'll return because of the service... you get what you pay for right?

UPDATE: Called today to follow up on a response for diagnostics I got via Yelp. Super quick response and clear terms. When I called to follow up, spoke to Steve. Maybe I caught him on an off day, but he was clearly irritated with my questions as I tried to clarify if I would have to pay just to know the codes (which I already have) or to diagnose the source of the problem. When I mentioned the $50 quote, he stated that is a mistake and it should be $140. Understanding that this is their hourly rate, I didn't argue, but asked if I'd still be charged a flat $50 for the scan which I did not want. We eventually got through the confusion, but I don't appreciate being talked to like an idiot or inconvenience. As you said Steve, why would you waste time on something for $50 if you could have $140/hr on the lift? Kudos and hats off to Doug for following up shortly after and acting surprised that I just talked to Steve and wasn't happy. Total professional. Happy to see the success and high marks on here for a local business. If I end up here, hopefully it's a better experience than my 5 minute phone call.

Continue to be incredibly impressed with the quality of work, amazing service, and reasonable prices. I have an older car and really appreciated the honesty and integrity demonstrated in discussing options with me of what was critical and what could wait. The waiting room is comfortable and stocked with great snacks. If you're looking for a capable and honest mechanic you can trust, this is the place.

These guys are friendly and honest. The waiting area is stocked with snacks, coffee, water, TV/entertainment. Need to charge your phone but no charger? They got you covered. Clean and welcoming all around.

I brought my Suburu Impreza Wrx here for repairs and Doug provided excellent customer service and both Steve and Doug provided affordable, honest, great service. The phone calls to follow up with me were prompt and explanations thorough. Doug gave me a ride to and from the shop, and the waiting room is the best I've ever seen at a repair shop. There was an Xbox, tons of free snacks and drinks, chargers for any type of phone, and comfortable seating. And, my car has had no problems since.
