Why bring your car to Motorpool Automotive? Because they provide results! Motorpool diagnosed and fixed our smog issue after a number of other mechanics failed. We were starting to think our car would never pass smog until Steve helped us out!

This automotive shop delivers exceptional services and peace of mind knowing your car is going to get repaired properly. My wife and I take all of our vehicles to get repaired at this shop. We were impressed by the transparency and knowledge of the staff at this shop. what a breath of fresh air. Thanks a lot guys.

I came in to get a basic oil change that took 30 minutes. Used the $25.00 Yelp Check-in Offer, but does not include tax nor the oil disposal fee, so my total was $29.70. (Regular oil service costs $29.99) Do you see the savings there? (maybe, maybe not)...maybe, not. It took extra time to fill out all of my information because Christian was training his employee on how to input customer's car and service details; I didn't mind the wait I deducted one star because their waiting area was small, stuffy, and smells like cigarettes, which made my stay a bit uncomfortable. I get an allergic reaction and have difficulty breathing when I inhale cigarette smoke, so I had to step outside to stop sneezing and to breathe easily again. In other reviews, they stated that Christian knows his stuff (Of course, he does. Aren't all mechanics, better yet, all business owners are responsible in knowing their "stuff"?) I didn't have many questions to ask, but Christian gave me a thumbs up for keeping up with my every three-thousand mile oil maintenance (Yay!) and that I needed to replace the two front tires because they're balding (Nay!)

I knew I'd be taking my car to Motorpool, for any future automotive needs.. I brought my car in, 2 months ago, for something really stupid. (BUT, the car was making all kinds of crazy noises!!!) A female, knowing NOTHING about cars ~ this is the perfect opportunity to get taken on an expensive ride, from some typical automotive businesses that I have experienced in the past. However, I had another extremely satisfied visit, to Motorpool. Chris looked at the car.. and, boom - minutes later I drove away without anymore noise! Without a doubt, at this point - I will only take my car here, unless I move to Alaska or something! Thanks Chris ~ you ROCK!

Quick and Easy. Went in for a oil change and it was a great experience. Chris was friendly and honest. I also had a problem with a leak from my radiator, they looked at it and have me a fair quote. Highly recommend for future.

Hello Yelpers, I have known the owner, Chris for some years now and have found him to be extremely knowledgeable as well as friendly and honest. He recently opened a shop near where I live and work. So when I was in need of a vehicle I was fortunate to contact him and to my surprise, found a nice, older Honda CRX that was abandoned at the shop. He went through all the hassles of a lien sale, fixed the necessary issues to insure safe driving and sold it to me for a very reasonable price. Needless to say I will be taking all my future automotive repair issues to Motorpool and will not hesitate to recommend him and his crew to friends and relatives. Sometimes nice guys do finish first!

I cannot stress how great this place is, along with Chris. I needed just a basic oil change for my car, called in advance, and Chris even ordered the filter while I was speaking to him about the oil change. By the time I arrived at location, the filter was already there and Chris did the oil change in about 20 mins, including an inspection of the car. He told me that I needed certain things fixed on the car (Car has 140k miles), and I told him that I did not have the time now but I would come in the future. He said OK and gladly gave back my keys without trying to push any type of sale on me. Two weeks later, I go over a big speed bump pretty much made up of rocks and dirt (big mistake on my end), so the splash guard underneath my engine comes loose and starts grinding on the road. The next day, I take it to Chris at Motorpool again, and he puts the car on a lift and replaces the clips for the splash guard within a minute of looking at it. I ask him what he'd like to charge, and he simply replies "Just tell your friends about us." Chris is a great guy and I highly recommend service by him, he's honest and willing to help you out. He is after your business, not just your money.

As a native San Franciscan, I've had my fair share of negative experiences with auto representatives. I must say I am impressed with Motorpool Automotive's level of professionalism and courteousness. In preparation for a long drive from San Francisco to Los Angeles, my aunt had noticed the dipstick's oil was extremely low. We were on Highway 85 and needed a close enough place to make a quick stop and hop back on. Motorpool checked out our engine as requested and solved our problem with ease--before we knew it, we were happily on the road again. Now to face our next challenge..Traffic!! Thanks Motorpool! :)

I drive a 2000 BMW 540i and when I described the symptoms to Chris, also stated what I thought was the issue, rear wheel bearings with 165k miles on 'em. I only wanted a labor quote as I usually pick up my parts for way less than any shop (gotta love the www) but he told me that he wanted to check it out personally because he didn't want to "fix" the wrong issue. He then explained that the noise I described could also be coming from the drive train, possibly the diff, which is very possible. I was sure my research was correct but since he wasn't charging me for the diagnosis and quoted me the best price on the work I thought the 5'er needed, I had the wife stop by because it was on her way to the office. Within minutes of her arrival, Chris phoned me and agreed that my diagnosis was spot on. He offered the OE wheel bearing I needed for $20 more (minus shipping and time) than I found it on the web so I just bought the part from him since he saw the car on Friday and made an appointment to do the repair Monday morning. He made it clear to me that he had only done one other BMW wheel bearing so there could possibly be complications. During the repair, he encountered a few difficulties (an important tool failed, extra parts had to be removed, an aluminum tab on an important control arm snapped off, requiring special welding equipment, which made the task longer having to take pieces to neighboring facilities) but he shouldered the additional time and expense, taking full responsibility for the extra repairs and cost. He was still able to get me on the road before the end of the business day but barring the other issues, I believe he would've had me out of the shop in two hours. The car is quiet and once again feels and sounds like the Ultimate Driving Machine! Thanks Chris...

Chris is an amazing BMW mechanic. My car is old and has a lot of issues.I had gone to another shop for many years but had become dissatisfied with the service of my car. I then found Chris and WOW!! It makes me wish I had known him long before now. Chris is very reasonably priced, very fair and communicates with honesty and care. He is the best. I will never take my BMW to any other shop!
